Butterscotch butterfly
lands on a leaf
opening her wings
like a flower
unfolding petals
after a long winter’s sleep.
She takes flight
dancing in the air,
orange wings
with black polka dots
little black ruffle ends
like flames of fire
she soars up
up into the clouds
goodbye
